Welcome to The Quilting Party, Blacksburg's largest quilt guild.

If you are interested in meeting other quilters, learning new things, sharing experiences and growing as a quilter, this guild is for you!

The monthly meetings on the first Tuesday start at 6.30 pm with social time. Programs begin at 7 pm and could be a featured topic, a guest speaker, a lecture, demonstrations or hands-on activities.

Each evening includes show and tell. It is always fun and exciting to see what members of the guild have been doing.

Our evening in December features an “Exchange of some sorts” the Christmas pot luck, and plenty of time to socialize.

For those who are unsure if the guild is for them, we extend an invitation to be a guest at our meetings. Attending the first meeting is free, returning visitors pay $5 (if not otherwise noted) to help defray the cost.

Our Vision

The mission of The Quilting Party is to share the art of quilting and fellowship, be a source of information, inspiration, and encouragement, and to engage in community service projects.

Our members like to share their knowledge on different techniques.

Every year we meet and work on charity quilts in various sizes. Other group activities might include block raffles and "The Challenge", where members work with a special theme, title, or a designated fabric.

Through trips to fabric shops, visits to special exhibits,and annual retreats we keep our friendship in the group growing. We have officers and committee members whose preparation, organization and care keep the guild running smoothly.
